About The Gallery
The Brown-Daub Gallery and Gallery Annex are programmed by the State Theatre Center for the Arts, in partnership with Arts Community in Easton. ACE creates opportunities which invite community involvement, and presents educational opportunities by organizing exhibitions, classes and workshops, an annual studio tour, and public mural projects. ACE also initiates and participates in area activities which enrich the artistic life of the community, working with the community, and underserved groups identified by local agencies. ACE recognizes that a thriving community of artists is essential to accomplishing these goals, thus fosters artists in education and professional development and provides a venue for communication with peers, schools, arts organizations, and local government. 2013 Summer Acting Camp The Spotlight Is On You!
Proud Supporters Of The Summer Acting Camp
The State Theatre is proud to present its Summer Acting Camp for the eleventh year in a row! The State Theatre 2013 Acting Camp will be held July 8-19, with Camp Recital on July 20.
Consisting of 4 separate groups, Grades 1-3, Grades 4-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12, the two week course is designed to include an educationally based yet fun-filled theater experience. Each child will rotate daily between three classes (Acting, Music and Dance), learning valuable lessons and tips needed in all phases of theater. Some subjects covered include audition technique, presentation, terminology, character development, scene work, improv skills and acting games, choreography, show preparation, and musical technique. Each year is a unique experience! A tour of the historic State Theatre will also be included.
Classes will begin on Monday, July 8 and run weekdays through July 19. Morning sessions are available from 9 AM - 12:30 PM and Afternoon sessions from 1:30 PM - 5 PM. The course will culminate in a student-showcasing recital on Saturday, July 20th. The fee for the 10 day course is $235, which includes 2 free tickets to the July 20th recital. Class size is limited to 20 students per group.
Directed by Denise Crawn of Prestige Productions, the State Theatre Summer Acting Camp will include instructors with extensive experience in theater arts. They work side by side embracing and encouraging those new to the arts, as well as challenging even the most experienced young actor.
